Each puzzle answer is fifteen letters with a three-letter tree as substring in it. The answers can be arranged into 3x5 blocks so that the tree is excluded from the four planks of wood:

The blueprint for the lodge must be filled as a crisscross using these entries, whose clues are provided in alphabetical order by answer:

The shaded cells in this diagram represent the pieces of wood that come from the puzzle answers. (The easier version of this puzzle provides these pieces already shaded so that solvers know where the puzzle answer pieces go.)

Fifteen of those pieces have one cell sticking out of the diagram, unused by any entry. In clockwise order starting in the middle-top, they spell the solution LUMBER TOWARDS IT.
